Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a carpet company to quote me out some carpet for a rental in Detroit. I'm not looking for the best premium carpet, but I don't want the cheapest either. 

I'm also a web designer. If there is a carpet company out there that needs a website, we can barter for services. 

@Michael Orr - Househacking is a great method. I would say both of those methods would work. SFR and rent a room or Multi family and live in the other. It depends on the deal and also the tenant (roommate). Would you be sick of this person living with you? Do you like your privacy? Good luck with everything!

@Jarrett Bochniak - That's a great plan Jarrett! I househacked my first multi family 2 years ago and still have it to this day. BP is a great forum and you'll learn alot to really leverage that $10K. I'm a wholesaler and I love talking about wholesaling. It's a great way to get started in REI without putting up a lot of your own money. Just be patient and don't rush into a deal.

@David Roberts - You can say that again! lol. I feel @Scott K. pain though. Detroit tapes are always being shopped around and I've tried making deals out of these, but it takes a special investor to take these on. I don't blame @Account Closed for putting it out there. He's just trying to move product, but the issue with portfolios like this is that it's a lot of work, research, analyzing each property and driving. There can be deals made, but it's not the kind of leg work that I want to do. It takes an investor that buys the case and sells by the bottle.
