Post: Bay Area investing, where to meet up and build a team!

I love meetups, especially ones scheduled in the East Bay near Walnut Creek since that's in my neck of the woods.

It's helpful to have a specific purpose for the Meetup with an agenda planned and a date, time, and location predetermined.  I use the Meetup app to find RE meetups having this criteria. Perhaps you can schedule your Meetup in the Meetup app so that people can see what the group is about, elect to join and let you know if they can make the meetup you schedule.

Let me know if you schedule the Meetup; if the date/time/topic(s) work, I'd love to attend!

I've purchased 8 SFR properties in Indy this past year and recenter had to change property management companies since I had a really bad experience with the first company I signed with. I'd love a recommendation on a good PM company in Indy if anyone has one they can highly recommend from personal experience . feel free to message me if you don't want to or can't mention the company in this post.

@Andrew Hall,  Any update on your use of REIPro? Have you continued to use that software in your wholesaling journey?

I'm considering the wholesaling and lease-option route as well as one of my next steps in real estate.

I currently buy and hold and want to build a cash stream to continue purchasing buy and holds.

REIPro looks like a software tool that will help with the leads, marketing, tracking, and closing steps in the process.  Chris Goff/REIPro are holding a training seminar next weekend in Las Angeles on Lease-Options , but I'm not able to attend. I could really use some step by step training before I jump in.

Welcome to BiggerPockets  @Eric Harrison!  I'm from the East Bay, too.  Been doing long-term rentals, but this site and local Meetups and RE seminars have really opened my eyes to other avenues of revenue . Just need to figure out my next steps and plan how I'll get there, so I'm a newbie all over again!  :)

Welcome @Jen Anderson!  Good decision on your part to go pro. I'm a Pro member from the East Bay, too (Lafayette). I think you'll really benefit from the rental calculator tool on the BP site for your house hacking analysis - it will tell you in pure numbers if you're getting into a good deal or not.

BTW - You mentioned you have a couple of SFR rental homes in OH. I just entered into a contract to buy a rental home in Maple Heights, OH. Great cash flow out there!

Looks great! Congrats!

How did you find this deal, and how did you finance it?

Please let us know what it sells for.

Venmo is free to use for both you and your tenant. I use it to collect rents electronically.

Would TenantCloud, Buildium, or another online property management software tool work for accounting purposes???

Thanks, Ryan! I'm a little concerned about the distance (across country). Would prefer someone local whom I can visit in person.
