Thanks Greg for the reply.  We just finished our first fix and flip in Carl and were wondering if there were any good network of investors in the Joplin / Webb / Carl area.  Are you aware of any wholesalers in the area?

I was summarizing Bill Gulley's site as well as several articles and threads on BP.

Being the newbie that I am I was making sure that my assessment of the prevalent viewpoint on wholesaling is accurate before totally giving up on the idea.

Would appreciate your thoughts:  I've read a lot of posts on this site and others and am coming to the conclusion that 'wholesaling' (defined as the business of assigning contracts to purchase) is illegal and can land you in trouble with federal and state jurisdictions.... and even with assigning purchase options you still would need a real estate license to stay compliant and legal.  Am I looking at this correctly or am I missing something here?  Thanks!
