Is there anyone in Manhattan who is experienced in investing in apartments in the area. (wholesale, rehabs etc,) I am from Long island and I am just getting into real estate investing in Manhattan. Are there specific laws/regulations? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

How can I find out how much is truly owed on a foreclosed property. The foreclosure schedule shows me the final judgement; but is that enough information?

I don't want to purchase a home for what I believe is a good deal, but then find out that what's owed is more than the house is worth.

I am going to the court steps in my area on the 9th. I am new to investing which is why I have a mentor who is guiding me through the process. He wants me to find out how much is owed for the mortgage and how much is owed in taxes. Can a title search give me that information? Or should i call the plaintiffs attorney?

Good evening! I am 18 years old and just starting out in the world of real estate. My goal is to become an real estate investor but I know absolutely nothing. However, I am determined and committed to working days and nights to learn the business. That means reading as well as hands on experience. My question is, since I am new and have no experience in real estate, should I first obtain a license to become a real estate agent to learn the business, Or is there another route i should go?
Have a wonderful night!
Dylan.

Good afternoon, I am currently 18 years old and I have taken a huge interest in Investing in real estate. My father owns a title insurance company and my mother just got herself back into it as well as a real estate agent. I just never really thought about it much until now.

My long term goal is to become an investor in commercial R.E. and residential. However, what are the steps i should take in order learn rather then just reading countless books. I want the hands on experience rather then just knowledge from books.
Should i start out as a real estate agent and learn the business?

Suggestions please! Thank you and have a wonderful day!

Hello,
My name is Dylan. I am 18 years old and I truly have a mindset for success. I just need the guidance to GET there. I have always been interested in Real Estate since my dad owns his own Title Insurance company. However, I am not familiar at ALL with the business. I know it is far-fetched by asking on a website for a mentor, or someone who can teach me, however, I am young, and have such a drive for success I don't want to waste anymore of our biggest asset, TIME.
Maybe someone can help.
I wish everyone on BiggerPockets the best!! Good luck and aim for the stars!
