Should i become a real estate agent before an investor?

Good evening! I am 18 years old and just starting out in the world of real estate. My goal is to become an real estate investor but I know absolutely nothing. However, I am determined and committed to working days and nights to learn the business. That means reading as well as hands on experience. My question is, since I am new and have no experience in real estate, should I first obtain a license to become a real estate agent to learn the business, Or is there another route i should go?
Have a wonderful night!
Dylan.

I'm a big proponent of getting your real estate license, but not to learn the business. Becoming an agent gives you access to two two big things:

1. Control
2. Information

In addition to those two big things, you'll definitely gain some knowledge of the industry, basic law and how things are done by getting your license, so consider that a bonus. Another bonus is that you'll earn/save money on commissions by being able to represent yourself.

Not everyone agrees that getting a license is the best path, but it's a no-brainer in my opinion...
