Hi Ashley! The DC area is home base for me :-) I currently live in Durham, welcome to the area. I'm just getting started myself (and taking the advice and putting my goals on paper) and have attended one meeting (just last week). Hope to see you around soon.

Hi, I live in Durham.  yes, Durham is right next to Chapel Hill via 15-501/40. It's a hop, skip and a jump. I lived in the DC area and Philly for a long time - the "traffic" in Durham/Chapel Hill is laughable (it depends on your perspective, I guess) I wouldn't be concerned about traffic. The commute isn't crazy.

I think Chapel Hill is overpriced, but you can some gems in Durham, you'll have to rehab any multi-family units you find (at least I found one that needs work).

Welcome to BP! You'll learn more than a little bit from this site so soak up the knowledge and then take action. There's quite a few members on here from our area so you will have no shortage of locals to connect with and, as Dawn mentioned, we have a meetup this Thursday if you're free. Stay active on BP and good things will happen!

Thank you, I will be there tomorrow. Thanks for the info!
