Newbie from Durham, NC

Hello!

I'm Carmen Harris, I have no background in real estate. I'm here because I have been giving much consideration to my current career (in marketing & PR) and what skills I have that would translate into a new career.  Real Estate seems like a natural fit for me and has always been an interest! 

I reside in Durham, NC (originally from South Jersey by way of DC and Atlanta). 

I just signed up for the BiggerPockets website and have been listening to the podcasts - from the beginning. Wow, they sure do make you want to take action.

Anyway, I'm soaking up all of the information I can and will be working on my business plan, while I dip my toe in the real estate investment pool. I'm not afraid of some risk and can't wait to see where this takes me. As I iron out my goals, I think I'm interested in buy/hold strategies for mobile homes/land/multi-family.

I'm really happy to be here and looking forward to networking and learning.
