Hi Caleb, Robert is absolutely correct a big way I got started was reaching out to people here, grabbing coffee or lunch with people, and attending events such as CFRI's General Meeting. CFRI provides as many opportunities as possible to expand your education.

Please let me know if you need any help!

My name is Chantel Grubbs. I am in the greater Orlando area. I am currently looking to enter into real estate investing by using my fha Loan to find a nice property with plans of flipping to gain capital. I Of course would like a short sale or foreclosure but am having a hard time finding decent properties. Any assistance/ advice  would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

 Hi Chantel,

When it comes to flipping here in Central Florida you have to be careful about going in with a FHA loan. Very useful products indeed for getting properties as 2% down, but the FHA also have strict guidelines in terms of the rehab estimation and every inspector or appraiser has to be used through the FHA. So in conclusion if you're targeting properties that have been foreclosed on or a short sale, consider properties that don't need a lot done to it because in many scenarios underwriting will not fund the deal. Hope this helps and let me know if you need anything else!

My name is Katie and me and my husband Paul Nguyen are new to the investing scene here in Orlando, Fl. and when I say new I mean as of like this month new. We know nothing, we haven't even bought a home of our own yet so we are definitely babies to the Real Estate World. I am a new Real Estate Agent as well in hopes that this will help us familiarize ourselves with the industry. Any and all help, guidance, advice, etc. would be so beyond appreciated!!! We are looking forward to this new adventure and really hope to secure a lucrative and stable future for not only our child but his children too!

Hi Katie, I'm an investor here in the central Florida area as well. It would be wise before taking a step forward into an investment strategy, speak with your husband about what you are trying to accomplish by investing in real estate. Do research on different strategies and what appeals most to your goals. Education is vital in a competitive market. Hope this helps!

Welcome to BiggerPockets Stephen! A lot of great things to explore and dive into on here. I have worked with clients in the past for full occupancy on their multi families and it becomes a time and costs preference between using property managers and posting the availability on websites such as zillow. Depending on what areas in Orlando is also a big factor. Let me know if you need me to go into any more detail.

I was able to save a good capital that I would like to diversify in Real estate. I am completely new to real estate investing and currently educating myself on the fundamental basic where I practically have to look up every other word. I am looking forward for any experienced guidance. My main goal is to buy and hold first property or property's. I would greatly appreciate if any investors can share their knowledge on what it takes to make their first deal. Thanks

Afternoon Tim and Welcome to BP where I came in knowing next to nothing about real estate investing but this website is better than any college course! The podcast are a great resource to learn and go on with the day. I also went out to the CFRI here in Orlando and meet people. Reach out whenever you need and I'll be glad to help you out here in Orlando!
