@Sheila F.  Unfortunately I've relocated to Monroe and can't make that drive every Tuesday.   Thank you for the offer!

I've been driving for dollars in hopes of finding abandon and vacant houses.

When you find these houses, how do you find out who to contact?

I look up property information on tax counties, some owners are deceased.  What do you do in that event?

Thanks for any tips and secrets!

Hello,

I am looking for listings in the Unionville / Indian Trail / Monroe / Charlotte all in North Carolina before they hit the MLS.

Is there anyone on here who is selling properties in this nature?

If not - any tips for finding properties?

@Jake Thomas@Wayne Brooks

Thanks guys!

That article was misleading.  I thought she was saying that making offers yourself was what makes you a professional or great in this field.  I've put my feelers out and will find an agent.

I'm trying to decipher what exactly a "cash" offer is.  If I get a loan from hard/private money would that be considered cash?

Thanks for any help in advance!

Per this article here.  https://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2010/06/0...

The author writes about submitting offers without an agent.  Is there any tutorial or material someone can direct me towards that will help me learn what is involved in doing this?

Do I just call up the listing agent and say " i wanna pay xx dollars, here's some earnest money" ?

Thanks in advance for any advice and reference material!

@Chad K.

Chad,

I'm not familiar with any of this software, but would be interested in the answer so I'll follow and hope you get the answer you're looking for !

So it sounds to me like you're looking to spend XXX dollars and be handed leads?

Would you be willing to generate them yourself?

@Jerry Puckett

Jerry,

When you put it that way, I'm losing money not being a pro member.  I will definitely be signing up tomorrow.

You know the Norse intrigue me so much.  They had a rich, bloody culture.  The vikings and their raids were only past time, like a summer season of baseball.  They would farm during the other season an peacefully raise family.   When the season rolled around, they would go raid a few villages.  The more you learn, the more interesting it gets.

I'm reminded in particular of a story about a viking (forgive me, I've forgotten his name) that was on a raid of a farmers land with a crew.  The farmer and his family subdued the vikings and tied them up in the barn, leaving them there for the night.  That night, the vikings freed themselves, gathered up the stolen goods and proceeded to the ship.  Once at the ship, he realized he was acting as a thief, which was very dishonorable.  He then returned to the farm and promptly murdered everyone.  This was the honorable thing to do.

The way they view death in battle as respectable.  It's interesting to say the last.

@Joel Owens

Joel, that's some definitive concrete advice.  I certainly appreciate the perspective from your situation as you've added.

I'll heed this advice well.  Thank you.
