Hello from Statsville, NC - interested in large unit rentals

Hello BiggerPockets!  

I was listening to podcast 100 today interviewing Joshua Dorkin and it wasnt until he had said it, that it didn't occur to me.  Use BiggerPockets to network!  It makes sense!

I hail from Statesville, NC.  I commute daily to Monroe, NC so I see a lot of road. (90 minute drive 2x daily).  I work in IT and have been supporting the infrastructure and systems for real estate companies and property management companies for two years now.  Realizing how lucrative it is and the fact that a 401k would never allow me to retire, I began looking into real estate investing on cash flow rentals. 

It was a few weeks ago I listened to Grant Cardone interview, 10x rule.  Seeing as how I need investors, I decided to raise the bar.  As Grant says "Do you want big problems or small problems?" 

As such, I decided to dive in.  My current plan is to purchase a 50 unit complex using capital raised from investors.  I am looking at crowd-funding alternatives as well.  I'm hoping the community can give me some great advice and happy to be a member!

 @James Wise I had to have a picture that reflected my personality.  At the end of the day, we're all human, I like to let that shine through.  No matter how much money is made, it's all for one purpose: to live the freest life we can dream. 

@Randy E. I like to think I'm bringing a little bit of everything to the table, that is, the entrepreneurial spirit.  You can only do so much without making the first move!
