Hi Frank.  Can you add me to your buyers list please?  My email is [email protected].  I'm on Long Island now but lived in Fairfield County for many years and am interested in any properties you have there.  Thank you.

Thank you @Ross Denman and @Ritch Bonisa.  I am planning a trip to Indianapolis next month so I will definitely PM you both for more info.

@Brandon Alden and @Shane M. - I will PM you both and let's connect so we can discuss how best to help each other out as we are all fairly local to one another.  And if we get a group together, I'll definitely reach out to you @Ali Boone.

Thanks again everyone!

Hi @James Caruso.  You don't actually - I was wrong about that.  You are able to take the test from your school where you take the 75 hour course as well as the state exam but once you pass both and want to get your actual license, then you have to provide the broker's name and ID number online and he or she will have to go online and agree to sponsor you.  Then that broker will be mailed your license.  I have now passed the test and am still interviewing brokers so you'll have time after if you want to go ahead and get the tests out of the way first.  Good luck!

Hi Nicole.  I looked at both online schools - realestateu and NYREI.  I started realestateu and then switched to NYREI as I felt that NYREI was much superior and I was able to get a groupon for it for $99.  One of their teachers, Kristin, has written a NYS real estate salesperson license exam prep book on Amazon for $59.  I purchased her book after I had finished the course.  I looked at other cram sites and books for passing the test as well but hers was the best crammer for me.  I took both the school and state tests on consecutive days (with just having finished the course and prep book) and passed both tests on the first try so I think it was a pretty effective and cheap strategy since together they only cost $160.  Good luck!!

Hi all.  I'm interested in putting together a group of people who are planning to invest out of state in single and small multifamilies to share ideas.  I am interested in a number of out of state locations (and I'm sure each of has your eye on a number of places as well) so it makes sense to me that we should partner up locally to share our knowledge of other cities, share data, plan trips to investigate, etc.  Why go it all alone?

If your plan for 2017 is to start investing elsewhere while still living here, let's talk and maybe we can help each other out!
