nys real estate license

Hello all,

I'm thinking of getting my real estate license here in new york state (not NYC) and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for online schools? I'm looking at realestateu but they seem kind of cheap. they are approved by NYS or so they say but other courses are around 495$ while theirs is only 99$. Any suggestions that are in the middle of the two or reviews on realestate u??

Hi Nicole.  I looked at both online schools - realestateu and NYREI.  I started realestateu and then switched to NYREI as I felt that NYREI was much superior and I was able to get a groupon for it for $99.  One of their teachers, Kristin, has written a NYS real estate salesperson license exam prep book on Amazon for $59.  I purchased her book after I had finished the course.  I looked at other cram sites and books for passing the test as well but hers was the best crammer for me.  I took both the school and state tests on consecutive days (with just having finished the course and prep book) and passed both tests on the first try so I think it was a pretty effective and cheap strategy since together they only cost $160.  Good luck!!
