I live in Jersey City,NJ and I want to buy a 2-3 family rental property. Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as finding a reliable mortgage broker. I want to know how much house I can afford.

Hey guys! I live in north nj and I want to buy my first investment property within the next 3-6 months using a 203k loan. The questions that I have are how difficult is it to get one of these loans and what requirements would a bank need? Also, if I can get one of these loans using an LLC, I want to protect my personal assets, or do I have to get it under my personal name. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm going to research what I can here on bp and work on analyzing the property. I would love to buy and hold but if I can't I would wholesale it. @ Gino its in Bergen county in NJ with quick access into the city.  

Hey guys. I found a great property driving around in town that's for sale by the owner. I really want to get into real estate investing. Any suggestions on what I should do? 

I rented a 3 bedroom apartment that was pretty expensive. I rented one bedroom for $350 and the other for $550. So now I. Pay only $400 for rent and we share the utilities and cable. 

So this month I did my first real estate deal! I hacked my apartment. I'm extremely proud of myself. Hacking my apartment I'm able to save about $900 a month in rent! Amazing.  If anyone has any tips on apartment hacking I'd greatly appreciate it.
