Electric heat elements. Probably the least expensive option you'll find.

Find out what the situation is with the realtor and contractor. The referal may be a very good one. Check references and BBB on the contractor. I would have a local investor keep an eye out for you, take pictures etc.. Peace of mind for being out of state. Maybe hire a Home Inspector with construction experience.

The buried oil tank should be removed by the existing seller. You or any potential buyer do not want the risk of being responsible for environmental clean-up and most insurance companies will not insure and home with an old buried tank.

Sorry that i missed the event. I will definitely be there in February. Is this a very informal group or is there a contact sheet that goes around. Seems like it may be hard to network with everyone in that short of time frame unless it was run like a BNI group.

I recommend Dagney's Real Estate out of Wilton. She started her own brokerage about two years ago and is at the top of the social media ladder.

Also check out Latrella Lending Group out of Shelton for 203k lending.

Hey Steven, great to see a CT investor. What towns are you looking for properties in specifically? Do you have the ability to pay cash? HUD has some good deals but you have to act fast. I'm also looking to connect and network with investors.

Thanks Guys, went to school in Boston. Wentworth. I've been reading all i can. I need to start looking at deals and see about getting some private money. I'd like to find some local investors and realtors as well.

OK, so i'm in! Hi everyone Mike here from Fairfield County. I'm currently looking to network as much as possible with like minded investors in my area and to learn as much as possible about getting started on wholesaling, flips and buy and hold rentals in my area. I'm a Home Inspector and past remodeling contractor. I've been trying to educate myself for years, just haven't jumped in yet. Now's my time!
