@Grant Rothenburger no worries. I didn’t take it in a bad way at all. The only way to know is to ask. Right ? :).

Owner financing. Hmmm. Hadn’t thought of that much.

@Grant Rothenburger. I need to keep my Social Security disability for the medical, I am not allowed to return to work or I will lose it, but the fact of the matter is my leg got pretty messed up from a series of unfortunate events and I am unable to return to my career.I am allowed to earn income through rental properties it is not counted as earned money it won’t go against my medical it won’t go against my disability it’s really the only sure I have to be able to gain independence & not end up living in public housing or assisted living. I first looked into owning a multi family as a way to be able to have a place to live because no one will rent to me.and since joining BiggerPockets I have realised that I can do more than just survive.I just have to figure out how to get started with so little

Thank you.  Thank you for encouragement. It is appreciated so much.  I feel confident in my ability to manage a property.   Just not in my ability to qualify by an convince a lender.  :)

@Jaron Walling Thank you. I spoke to a loan officer today to figure that very thing out. I walked away with my tail between my legs.

He said unless I have a substantial savings - even after paying for closing cost & down payment , that no bank would even consider giving me a loan because I’m on Social Security disability and I have no assets.I am not giving up , I can’t, because I have to figure out a way to do this or I end up living in state housing which is not acceptable.

I’m going to take some money next month and join pro here. Read and read and bug the daylights out of the forums , until I feel I don’t have to ask “ what’s that? What if” anymore. The only thing I’m afraid of is screwing up my credit. Otherwise I’m willing to sacrifice.

I just feel really lost right now.

I’m getting very discouraged. I’m suppose to save 10k minimum no matter what type of loan I go for. I get 800 a month on disability and I burned through my savings over the two years fighting for it. Apparently great credit doesn’t mean squat & I DONT WANT TO BE POOR AND LIVE IN ASSISTED LIVING for the rest of my life. I just don’t understand how to do this with no experience , no savings, no assets and limited income.

Omg someone give me hope because I’m in tears here
