That's great to know. How often would you recommend mailing. Quarterly or every couple months?

I send out post cards every 90 days.
Thanks!

Quote from @Kevin Douglas:

Hey Forester - Direct mail is a numbers game. One thing that has worked well for me is spreading my budget over a 5+ touch campaign where I send mail to the same list multiple times to stay top of mind and create some familiarity. Typically I have seen results after sending several mailings to the same person.

 That's awesome!! I like what you mentioned about adjusting my budget to accommodate for 5 touches. I haven't been tracking well and this helps bring clarity.  Thanks a lot!

Hey Everyone.

I started mailing out market reports to absentee owners in my town with the hope of finding new clients. Any agents out there have recommendations on what they are doing to generate leads thru direct mail? Are there better lists that I should be targeting like high equity or mailing to everyone in a certain neighborhood? Any insight would be awesome! Thanks in advance.

@Al Farrouq

Welcome to Bigger Pockets! I would recommend reading the bigger pockets book Retire Early With Real Estate. It was instrumental in getting me started. Reading that to hone in on my strategy as well as getting my real estate license we're the best decisions I have made. If you want to hop on a call I would love to chat more!

In this high inflationary environment where do you keep your reserves for your rental properties?

Hi Kirsten!

The Durango Meet ups are pretty rad. I grew up in here and would love to connect and learn more about your plans with real estate. Lots of opportunity in the Farmington market :)

Hey Josh,

Welcome to Durango. I am a little late to this thread but would second Shane's comment on attending the local meetup. I gained a lot of value from attending. If you have some time I would love to connect and learn about your future goals with real estate!

Thanks for breaking this down Robin! Good to know about the likelihood of mixed use properties getting passes. Hopefully we can make something work. 🤞
