Which markets should I research?
Are there laws that I should be aware of as a foreign investor?

All info is greatly appreciated!

 Welcome to BP!

Depending on your US structure, you may need to be mindful of withholding tax. If you opt for a LLC, you need to be aware of IRS 5472 which carries a potential $25,000 annual fine.

The US is a market that can for almost any investor with the right team on the ground.

Good luck on your investing journey!

Hi Jordan,

isn't this $25,000 only applicable if you don't complete this form or it's done incorrectly? A good CPA would be able to help with a 5472.

Hi @Scott Mac, I have an agent in Detroit who will guide us in the right direction.

Plus others such as @Joe Hammel are already offering good advice.

@Joe Hammel definitely interested, please PM me his details.

We’re happy to fly to other states, so no restrictions really other than we only have 10 days total.

@Joe Hammel thanks Joe

Can anyone think of other states that we should visit other than Michigan?

@Joe Hammel

Thanks for your reply Joe.

I’ll take Southfield off the list :).

Good tip for searching, I’ll be doing that for sure.

What do you think about Farmington or Pontiac?

My budget in total is about $200k.

Hi everyone,

if you were to visit the USA for 10 days to walk the streets and build relationships to do flips where would you go?

....and Detroit has to be on the list so bear in mind travel time etc.
