Hello BP members! I finally took got my RE license and have an interview with a local broker. Any advice for a new agent like me? As far as best way to advertise? How to get listing? Is door knocking still great? The broker I have an interview with have a pretty great record and offer great mentorship and role playing training as well. So they might answer these question during the interview . But I would just like some feedback from you here. Thank you, David

Alex Deacon thank you for the response. Yes, I heard about Keller Williams , one of my friends was with them but he decided to leave because they offered very minimal training. I'll be going with century 21, my best friend and his dad work there, they told me since I'm a new agent I will most likely get 50/50 split for the first new months and then I'll be able to negotiate later. But I feel as if 50/50 is too much since I will be a full time agent.

Hello BP members! I finally took my RE sales exam yesterday and passed it. I am now waiting to get my license! I know which broker to go to now . They offer training mentors etc. But the question is , what is a fair commission starting point for a new agent? Thank you, David

Hello BP members! I am getting ready to take my RE state exam, I will be taking a crash course before taking the exam as well. One question I have is, when should I expect to get my RE licensed? I've heard from a friend that it takes another 2-3 months after taking and passing the state exam because of background checks? I don't see why it would take so long for a background check? I live in California so i guess it's different here ? Thank you, David
