If you are paying verifiable taxes you should be able to get a loan. Try another lender.

@Edwin Guerrero  Perhaps you misunderstood. If you cannot afford the increase you will have to move and still pay rent while you are looking. Its probably in your best interest to move out peacefully and leave your unit in good shape so as not to prevent you from renting in the future. Good luck!

To each his own. Debt makes me horribly uncomfortable. My first house was bought with a mortgage at about 50% LTV. The rest of my properties I saved and paid for. It's slower going but I sleep well and my offers often are accepted over higher offers because it's cash with a 7 day close. I think paying cash for things makes most of fight harder to save every penny. It's a less stressful way of doing things. Good luck to you!

@Christopher Blanco

That will be a huge improvement! Now choose a totally different color for your front door and or shutters to really set everything off. It will end up looking like a totally different house!

I would have to agree with @jeff b, that the trim should be a different color. It will make that house really pop. I wish I was closer as I would love to be a part of painting that house!

You can remove the Tudor trim on the upper level or just paint it into the siding, add shutters and you should be good to go. That should be a fairly fast, inexpensive update. Very nice looking house.

I have replacement value on mine and they inspect before they insure.

Someone might be able to make a few bucks on this one. I'd buy it if the price reflected the condition of the house and having to evict the tenants. All depends on your niche.

She needs to contact an attorney well versed in elder care. There is a 5 year look back period on this type of transaction so they need to move very carefully. A wrong move could put mama's benefits in jeopardy.

Because I see nothing wrong with the address of your rent house or mine being used as the mailing address of some business. What do you see as the problem? Is it causing unusual wear and tear, is it causing trouble with the neighbors, is it an illegal activity, is it unsafe for the tenants or neighbors, is it affecting property values?
