@Braden Anderson I name them all for something unique about the house:

The New House (it was a brand new build)

The Soul House (it’s an old soul)

The Jo House (interior looks like something Joanna Gains would decorate)

The Pond House (backyard abuts a pond)

Etc. haha it’s actually pretty fun

I am looking for a local lender in the Mission/Edinburg area. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks

Thanks @Alex S. and @Jill F. !!!!!

Hey fellow BPers! Interested to see what program you all use to keep your books? I have heard good things about QuickBooks, however obviously they are not RE centric, and I've heard you need a little bit of accounting background to get the most out of it.

Currently I use excel. Yes, yes, I know it can be a bit inefficient, which is why I am posing the question! Thanks in advance.

@Kevin Turk Once they pass the application and background, I have them fill out a lease agreement and immediately want the 1st month's rent and sec deposit.

I think as long as you are judging wanting them on your team based on merit, rather than relationships, then you're ok. Once you start clouding your judgement based on personal feelings, I think you've lost.

Anyone involved in the market in these areas? I am from out of state but interested in the area. If so, I have some general questions. Thanks!
