I'll be watching this thread, as I may very well be buying from wholesalers in the future. Thank you @Ray J. For the question!

I can't agree more.  I listened to this episode twice now, and it has given me some great ideas and motivation. Paul really knows his stuff, and he makes real estate investing a science, which is to say he puts a repeatable system into place to "automate" his investing.

I really enjoyed this one!

Any advice on the subject is appreciated!

 Hey Will,

I am interested in rental properties in the Hudson Valley. I am very new and currently looking at Greenwood Lake,  NY. Do you know anything about this area.  I look forward to following this thread. And learning from your post.

Thanks,

Danny

My guess off the top of my head would be an owners market. but I have not even looked into it much to be honest.

@John Place I'm a beginner too. I have been listening to the BP podcasts and educating myself. I hope to do a deal within the next 6 months - a year. I'm interested in BRRRR. How did you finance your first deal?

Good luck with your investing?

Welcome to bigger pockets! I'm new to investing, and I am doing all the research and networking I can. This site, and especially the podcasts are incredibly helpful. I'm across the river in orange county. Maybe our paths will cross. Best of luck!

Hey everybody,

New investor here. I'm looking to meet experienced investors or real estate agents near Warwick,  NY 10990. Or near Goshen, Middletown, Florida, Chester, Greenwood Lake or the like. I would like to meet over coffee our lunch and discuss all things local real estate.

I'm smart and motivated and good with numbers.  If anyone is interested, please let me know. I look forward to meeting you and talking with you.

Thanks,

Danny

@Dacia Ray Thanks for your reply! I do not know yet where I plan on investing. I would be happy to invest in Orange County, as it is local. I just have to learn how to find deals and what to look for. I am completely new. I am very interested in the BRRRR strategy and perhaps attempting to wholesale. I feel like a rental property makes the most sense to me at this point in time. What kind of investing do you do?

@Kevin Maxwell That sounds really great.  Do you invest in properties that are several hours drive from you?  I have heard that there are lots of deals to be had in Albany.  I would be very interested in finding out some specific details.

@Jill DeWit Thank you!

@Adam Cherko I will definitely be reaching out in the future, as I could use all the help I can get.  It's great to know I have other people willing to give advice and recommendations for contractors.  Opening a wedding venue is definitely on my business venture to-do list.  I'll be in touch.  Thanks!

@Cree Quaker Thank you for the welcome message.  I would be pleased to meet some of your team next time I am up in Kingston.  I used to work in New Paltz, and I have some friends up that way.  Hopefully I can meet with your or your team in the near future.  What is the best way to get in contact with you?

@Nicole Romano Thanks! Are you a private investor?  I work in Newburgh, so you are close by.

Thanks again for the welcome everyone.  I look forward to posting and interacting with you all in the future as I grow my skills and portfolio.

Hi everyone,

I'm 28 years old. I'm hoping to begin investing in real estate and creating cash flow for my wife and I. In an ideal situation, I would provide enough of a horizontal income stream that I can leave my full time job, and pursue my passion which is small scale farming. We don't have a ton of money to work with, but we do have some savings. Pursuing this path would also allow one or both of us to comfortably stay home when we have children in the future.

I have just recently started listening to bigger pockets podcasts and I look forward networking with folks in my area and hopefully getting my first deal under my belt in 2017.

Thanks,

Danny
