It's fine to get multiple lenders it no longer will effect your credit score you can obtain a very good RE agent who will put in all that work for you. Good luck & I wish you all the best.  

In everything you do make sure you have a contract between the two of you. Pay for the labor only since you have the cash buy all supplies (to avoid the mark up) but buddy make sure you get a contract between the two of you. Best of luck.

You just jump in and apply yourself to what your passion is.
