@Chris K. That sounds like a good course of action.  Thank you for taking the time to respond. You mentioned that your work in real estate, construction, and banking have been invaluable in your real estate journey, and I was wondering if you could provide any specific examples from your story?  I would message you privately, but I think a future investor/attorney down the line would like to read your response.

As a full time investor, I would be scouting for deals, conduct mailing campaigns, driving around, going to/hosting meet-ups, more networking, syndicating, doing my own rehabs (I like the work), and searching out new markets. I've about made it to where my passive income covers all expenses.

Thanks again!

That a good point @Bruce Lynn.  The thing is that you don't know what you don't know as far as specific fields of the law are concerned.  I know I enjoy finding deals, rehabbing, and investing generally, but I might just have to do some trial and error as far as the law-side of the house goes. My passion is helping folks in need, but that doesn't bring in the funds that I need to support my own family. Starting my own firm to determine my own hours could work, but it is also super time intensive. Thanks for the response

BP Community,

I have two more years in my service commitment with the USAF, and I'm a licensed attorney in Texas and looking to head back that way; however, I am conflicted on if I want to dive into real estate investing full-time or stick with my law degree and leverage that to learn, grow, and make inroads into real estate investment circles that I might not otherwise have access to.  A full-time position may take away my time and freedom to invest as aggressively as I would like to do. Currently I'm under contract on my 7th unit after two years of investing, but, with a full-time job, this has been tough to balance.

Any other attorneys out there who have found a balance that worked for them?  Any fields or positions that are more useful than others when investing?

Any non-legal real estate positions that I should consider?

Thanks in advance for your comments! These forums are the best.

Respectfully,

Casey

@Danielle Small I wanted to check in and see how it went for you almost six years ago in Niceville?? I've been in the area about a year and a half and currently own a townhouse and condo in Niceville as well as a Duplex in mary esther. The rent and vacancy rate in this area is incredible; however, finding the deals is the tough part. I would love to hear about your journey in Niceville!

@Zachary Clements How has it been going for you so far?

@Nilo Ignacio thanks for that information, and I will Drought Properties to my list to investigate and interview.

@Joseph T. Thank you for that info, and I will message you shortly to get more information about your experience so far with Hendricks.

@Jim Shonts That is a pretty solid endorsement, and I will definitely add them to the list to interview.

Has anyone had a good experience with any local commercial lenders for commercial multi family 5-12 units in San Antonio? Currently shopping around.

Looking for recommendations for property managers in San Antonio for small multi family properties. I would appreciate hearing both the good and the bad, so that I can go ahead and get right to the companies right away. Thanks in advanced for any help!

Looking for both on and off market 2-15 unit B-C class multi family buildings in or around Fort Smith Arkansas.

Also, looking for recommendations for an agent with multi family experience as well as recommendations for an awesome property management company. Looking to form a solid team for many deals to come.

Recommendations but also warnings not to go with a certain person or company would be greatly appreciated as well.

Thanks @Dustin Davis, also, would you have any agents or brokers that you would recommend in Fort Smith or Conway for multi family (2-12 units)?
