"Term limits would be a start. But I'm at the point where I believe voting should be an earned privilege and not a right."

And stupid people should not breed. I agree!

The part about "Blame their parents" I have to disagree. Todays grandparents worked till the end, my generation, I am 48, worked hard and looked for a way to retire early. The gen Xers think they, how you stated, "have never really worked and feel entitled" Look at the 20 year old justifying a Lambo on this site. It is not the parents fault. It is the mind set of the youth today. I know, I have a 22 year old.

If it is a millivolt type heater, the kind that has the tube type element in the pilot flame, it could be that. Make sure it is positioned in the center of the flame. It has to be heated up, in turn creates the voltage to keep the gas valve open and running properly. Not scary stuff to work on, turn off the gas valve and adjust. As far as being to hot, blow on it. Service calls that do not accomplish anything erk me. No wonder our insurance goes up every year and not down. I bet he still put in the claim and demanded his service charge.

If you remember no press was present when he was sworn in...take two. Transparency at its best.

"Your "Good Ol Boy" "..."why do he NEVER" ...
"down in Mississippi???????"

Sounds like you are playing the race card Earl.

If you think Pres. Bush had the brains or capacity to do this on his own, and the banking institutions are innocent...Than you must be an Obama fan.

"Mr. Obama has apparently settled on a financial plan that, in essence, assumes that banks are fundamentally sound and that bankers know what they’re doing."

The banks do not have a clew what they are doing. My wife just spent 2 hours on the phone with Wilshire bank. In a nut shell...1.6MM house short sale 1.05MM This is a former model home. The builder just sold the same plan for $945,000 without the upgrades. 1st will pay second only 3K, second, Wilshire, wants 40K. The investor at Wilshire says it will cost more than 3K to write the release of lean, so let it foreclose. My wife and the other agent offered part of their commission to bring the 2nd up to 20K Wilshire says even if you bring it up to 39K we will not except it. It goes to sale on April 1st. Making the banks, once again, the biggest fools around!!

Tom~you said it, it is up to you. I am 48 now. I am looking at the nor tech 50 supercat for a summer toy. 3000 HP 180 MPH. Very impractical, but allot of fun. When I was 25 I thought 50 was near death. But I am still hanging in there. You have to do what is comfortable to you. The advise given here is practical advise from people that have been there and want to guide you along if you care to listen. I guess my point is, at 30, 35, or even 40 life is still good. If you delay the Lambo till after a multi unit in this economy, it may pay for the car. Then you will enjoy it even more. With age comes knowledge and experience, life does get better with age.

The Lambo was not designed to be an everyday driver. The maintenance alone per year will make this impossible. I have a friend that HAD one. Went in for a check up, oil, brakes, fluids, the topical $150 Jiffy Lube pit stop. When he got the call about the car needing new wipers blades, he asked how much. They were $75, each. Because they were [i] He told the shop to just replace the drivers side, picked up the car and took it to the Mercedes dealer. Traded it in an a SL55. That last pit stop cost him $7800
