Michelle,

We have negotiated several Shorts with E*Trade. Most of the people in E*Trade will do very little negotiating. You MUST justify the offer to show why it is a sound business decision. No real "tricks", E*Trade is like most that sit in 2nd postition.

A guy I listen to on the radio was talking last week about the exact same thing. He even went as far as to call the hotel that was listed in the email. He was worried due to the email was addressed by a friend.

Post: Issues with buying in Corp or LLC

Mario,

Everytime Wells sends us something about a Buyer being a corp., we sent in the corp. Docs to show that this transaction will be a Arm's length transaction.

We do not currently conduct any business with BofA, but we have handled them the same way as above.

When push comes to shove, no Lender will discriminate. If any Lender presses the issue, request for the Lender to send in document form a directive that states that a Buyer can not be a corp., esspecially in a contract where they are not a party.

As for buying in a personal name, I personally would NEVER do it. It does not follow my business plan, and would go against our company articles.

Hope this helps!

Actually Maryann, my motives are slightly selfish. See, I look at a larger picture than most. If your business is successful and very profitable and I have helped along the way, than it is very likely that you will stay with my company for your Short Sale Negotiations. So, your success brings my company further success.

And, you are crazy. You are very cautious. And if more business owners we cautious, more would be profitable.

I really thank everyone for the pleasent things that have been expressed about me and my company!

James

Great post Sam!

You might just be able to get other Realtors to read the information. The largest problem still lies with mis-information. So much has been written and even taught that is completely wrong.

I do not send in everything all at once. I use the different articles to support each offer/ counter. I think, this is only my opinion, that I see better results if I send in items separately, not all in one package.

Great to hear Maryann! It shows that you must keep presenting your case. Even when sometimes it appears that it is not getting thru, it just might.

Ryan,

First, I did in fact get your colleague request. I replied, sorry but I do not work on the weekends. You can get in touch with my office after 1200 (est).

Next, please make sure that you verify everything you want to do, to make sure you are complying with your local, state, and federal laws.

Also, some of the info on this thread is completely wrong! I always tell eveyone read and verify everything.

I hope this helps you get started.

Crock Pots ROCK! I love throwing stuff in a Crock Pot and coming home to a fully cooked dinner. It is great!

I have found some great recipes for Crock Pots on the net.
