@Becca Summers It's crazy because there are so many correlations to the restaurant business....

I.e. Finding a tenant = hiring employees

Evicting a tenant = firing employees

Having systems in place is HUGE in both businesses ... I can truly see myself (visualize-Miracle Morning!) myself being successful at this business! I would like to start out with SFR and possible multi-family (student housing). I don't think the flip method is up my alley, so more of buy and hold. I have some money to invest, but I'm not sure if I split it up and buy several, or go all out and buy one cash. Still exploring. What do you specialize in Becca?

@Lance Card thanks Lance!

@Jim Huish is Utah home?  And you're moving back?  That's great!  I haven't researched a lot in regards to turn key, but I will definitely look into it!

Thank you so much!!

Hey ya'll!!! I'm super pumped to be a part of the BP community!  I have been a restaurant manager for the past 15 years -- a job that I have loved but that I think I'm ready to part from!  I'm looking towards the future and have found there are some amazing opportunities within the RE realm!  I'm ready to meet people, help someone with a project (I'm not handy, but I can sure learn!), or grab a cup of coffee (or hot cocoa!)!  My first short term RE goal is to buy my 1st property within 100 days (and that was 5 days ago!).  I've got the itch and I can't itch it fast enough!!!

Thanks!!!

Coco

@Nate Halliday welcome! I would check out the different forums/topics on this website--they have great information.  You can set word alerts and get notified when people post about those specific words. Maybe set up words like "hard money lender" or "private lender" or "foreclosures" -- there are a bunch of foreclosure forums!  I'm pretty new myself but hopefully this helps!

Hey ya'll!  I am SUPER pumped to be a part of this amazing community.  I am, as the subject line says, a newbie by all means!  Not gonna lie, I was a little intimidated to even leave this -- my 1st post!  But one thing I have learned from Josh and Brandon on their podcast is that if you just think about it, it will never happen.  I'm interested in meet ups, helping others on their projects, grabbing a cup of coffee (or hot cocoa!), whatever I need to do to add value to someone else's business.  I have some time on my hands right now (about 2 months before I go back to my full time job), so I'm doing some major cramming sessions in order to learn as much as I can!  I've got the itch but I just can't itch it fast enough!!!  I also have some money put away to help me start my business, but I want to make sure I'm utilizing it to it's fullest potential!  Thanks in advance for any tips/advice you guys and gals might have for this Newbie!!!
