You are off to a great start! It is all about taking steps forward to take action towards your goal. I would start analyzing properties and seeing if the numbers make sense. If the numbers make sense, I would show the property to other people who have STR's and see what they think. From there, go start making offers!! As far as the management part, if this is not something that is worth your time, it is definitely worth outsourcing. I am on the co-hosting side and happy to answer any questions!

Hi @Katharine G.! Who doesn't love Flordia and second home loans rock with only having to put 10% down? I would recommend reaching out to hosts in the areas you are looking at and see how it has been for them. Also, I would check out Airdna to analyze the properties you are evaluating as a STR.

I would recommend reaching out to people who have an Airbnb in that area and see what their experience has been like! I would also recommend checking out Airdna. It is a market research tool for STR's and really helpful when analyzing properties.

@Justin Kerstetter I would recommend running the numbers and seeing what the property can make as a STR. Check out Airdna and it is a great market research tool for STR's. Check out the rentalizer portion and it will tell you how much your property can make based on comparable properties.

@Stephanie Reinagel nice to meet you virtually! I am on the co-hosting side of managing other people's properties. With COVID we have been on the high occupancy front as people want to get away. I have full access to Airdna (market research tool) so happy to take a look and analyze any properties you are interested in to see if they would be a good fit as a STR.

Hi @Jessica Yim I would recommend checking out Airdna! It is a market research tool where it will tell you how much your property will make as a STR, occupancy rate, average daily rate, show what other Airbnb's are making and more!
