Hey BP friends,

I'm looking for Private Money Lenders who are either in the Jacksonville, FL area or who want to invest in this area on some future projects. Primarily rehabs. If you're interested or know of anyone who might be interested, let me know. Always looking to form some new great relationships with all you good folks out there. Hope everyone is doing great!

I've heard about that and I'm definitely planning on attending the next meetup. Thanks for the suggestion, @Aarin Esler

Hey BP community,

I'm looking for residential multi-family properties in Jacksonville, FL. If anyone has any recommendations as to where to look, who to talk to, best brokers, etc, that'd be awesome. Or if you happen to be selling or know someone who is, I'd love to talk. If you're interested in the same area of real estate and just want to share thoughts and ideas, let me know, I'm always interested in talking and meeting new people.

Have a great day,

Chris

Thanks for the kind welcome, @Orlando Spencer. I'd definitely be interested in talking. Looks like you have experience in similar areas of interest, so it'd be great to share thoughts and ideas sometime.

Hey BP,

A few months ago I posted about my upcoming move to Jacksonville, FL and now I'm here/settling in and I've got the itch to get involved in real estate.  I've been educating myself as much as possible over the course of the past few years while I was in college and now I'm at the point where I'm ready to get started. This is an exciting time in a young, hopeful investor's life, so for those of you in the early stages of an investing career, I'd love to talk about anything and everything. For those who are more established and are infinitely wiser in the real estate world, I'd love the opportunity to talk with and learn from you as well. I relish the opportunity to establish relationships with new people, and if the relationship happens to be mutually beneficial in a business sense, even better, right?

My goal is to start in the residential multi-family realm of real estate and I'm hoping to eventually branch into the commercial multi-family realm. I just wanted to post and reach out to any like-minded individuals out there who are interested. Always excited to talk to new people. Maybe we can meet and have coffee someday. Have a great day everyone.

@Erik K.

That's where I will be stationed, so that is the area I've been looking at as well.

I will let you know if I'm able to find any good resources, please do the same.

@Jaan Doggwiler

Hi Jaan,

I've played with the thought of renting while I look, but then arises the issue of breaking the lease. Did you rent month-to-month or did you just sign a six month lease? From my searches online I can definitely see what you are talking about when you say it is hard to find a good multi-family that fits my criteria while also being in a good area of Jacksonville. What are the good areas of Jacksonville that you've seen so far? I'll be at the Naval Air Station. I would personally prefer the beaches for location, but that wouldn't be very practical with the proximity to the Air Station.

@Dannica Smith

I am planning on doing the same thing. What areas of Jacksonville have you looked at so far?

@Larry Fried

Mr. Fried,

Thank you for your response. This was my first post so it's nice that it was noticed. To answer your question; ideally, I would be living in one and renting the others. It seems to me like it is one of the best ways to get a start in real estate when there is the lack of capital that most investors inevitably run into initially. However, I am open to any suggestions you might have for how to begin a real estate career while also maintaining my career in the Navy.

As you can see from the multiple repeated posts above, I'm still figuring out the intricacies of the BP Forums, so I apologize for the late response.
