Very Awesome for taking action. I'm interested in how the responses are for the yellow letters.

What's your strategy for putting out bandit signs? Are you putting them out yourselves?

Do we have any laws or regulations in Oregon with regard to bandit signs? how long they can stay up, etc.?

Thanks. I'm looking to get started in wholesaling as well.

Thanks for the tip about keyword alerts. I've setup a couple and recently added keywords for portland so i can keep up with things that are happening locally.

they help

  • keep you accountable
  • someone(s) to bounce ideas off of
  • encourage you when you're stuck
  • helps you ask questions that you might not have thought about
  • someone else to talk to besides your spouse or business partner that doesn't have ulterior motives
  • makes you want to do more or get more done when some in your group is kicking butt

I'm not currently a part of a mastermind group for RE Investing, but I was in the past for other business endeavors. It was good to talk shop with others who understand the lingo and issues you face on a daily basis.

welcome to BP Denny! I know that they have a NW REIA meeting in vancouver and general meeting in Portland.

I attended a meeting on the west side a couple of weeks ago. If you find some other meetups or meetings around town let me know.

LOC is variable typically. I'd check to see the floor and max rates. Also, some institutions have a promotional rate that is lower for 6 to 12 months.

How many properties does he have? Why is he leaning towards commercial?

I'd try to get conventional financing first since the rates are lower. He can refi a non owner occupied property at conventional rates if he has under 4 properties. they may add an eight or quarter point for non owner occupied.

Hi Justine,

Great to have another Oregonian in the forums. Welcome!

I've been down to Crater lake, and driven through Medford and Ashland; but haven't had the chance to make it out to Selma yet.

Hi,

I wanted to introduce myself. I'm a newish investor in Portland, Oregon area. I have a SFH rental and am looking to ramp things up in the next year or so. I've studied and read tons of books, been through a couple of homes study courses and seminars; but hadn't really gotten deep into the brass tacks of things. I want to grow my portfolio of rentals to be able to replace my current working income. I've spent some time in online and internet marketing and know a couple things about websites and optimizations.

I've listened to many of the great podcasts in the last 2 weeks or so (1-30 and 40-45). There's a ton of great stuff in there and a lot of inspirational info and different perspectives. I enjoyed Leon Yang's podcast that he'd move to a new city and just go to town. I also learned a ton from Jeff Brown's podcast about notes and having a good financial basis. I hadn't heard about some of the 401k Solo entities that he had discussed.

I'm looking forward to meeting some of the great folks in the forums and around my local area.
