@Tyler Stiller ok ok very interesting thank you for the info.

What’s it like for renovation and reconstruction for condos? Is it a hassle or is it relatively basic compared to a single family home?

Does anyone have experience with investing in single condos? And is it as effective as buying single family homes?

I have a friend here in the GTA, and due to housing costs being crazy high, he’s focused on condos and has found early success with them.

He’s now on to three condos and quit his day job based on the return he’s getting.

I am new to real estate investing and looking for some good knowledge!

Thanks

I’m in the peel region and I haven’t heard of any meetups, and in looking to get one going.

Is anyone aware of any, and if not, would anyone be interested in one.

@Michael Hopkins hey micheal!

I agree, we should start a peel/Brampton meetup. That would be very beneficial.

Also as it turns out the Durham meetup was a zoom call for members only so I did not get an invitation, before this Covid pandemic started the meetup was intended to be in person with non members paying a small fee to get in rather than a large fee to become an immediate member.

@Evan Robert

I’m not too sure of any GTA meetings currently, but there’s an event in the Durham region on the 9th that I will be attending!

What should I do if I am just starting out in real estate, and I’m relying on my day job to save capital for my first investment property?

I know JVs are an excellent start for quick capital, but how do I find a JV when I myself don't have much to offer as I am a newbie?

I have an idea of the brrrr strategy, but can someone please explain it with detail?

I’m looking to fully understand the method.

Thank you!

@Nathan Klym

If that’s a thing I’d love to come as well.

I finished with the webinar earlier tonight and saw an example of a house being but into the BP cash flow calculator to see the expected variables of it.

Do the tools BiggerPockets offer work for Canadian real estate investing as well?
