The "Add to the thread" function is problematic.  We already have tons of people not reading the threads before they post.  Allowing people to post without even scrolling down will create more of that.  More repetitive disjointed comments that don't flow.  I realize that clicks and posts are sometimes at cross purposes with content.  The site owners have something to sell and measure content by quantity of clicks and posts.  I measure content by quality of posts and relevance to the topic.  Go figure.

I'm not sure how I supposedly voted on this issue since I disagree with it, just one more thing in a long list of issues with the redesign.  In fact, the go to last post feature is probably the only new feature I like.  Yes, there is something to be said about preventing repetition and maintaining continuity, but to me that is outweighed by not having to scroll and scroll to get to the last post and scrolling is much worse with the redesign.

I for one know I've spent less time on the site because it hurts (current tense) my eyes (How in the world was that missed in beta testing?)  and I've opened a lot fewer threads than I normally do.   So in my mind the website has lost a good deal of stickiness and I'd guess that is borne out by the statistics from the last two days, particularly among long term users.   @Karen Margrave I think the most basic question is why should a user have to get used to the changes?  Reminds me of my grandmother telling me that castor oil is good for me whether I liked it or not.  When someone says give it a week to get used to it, that screams quit complaining and just put up with the poorer experience, you'll eventually forget that it was better before it was "upgraded."

The last time we had a substantial change it was generally well received and I don't recall if any of the more prolific posters complained about it like we have this time.  So change can be readily accepted if it improves the user's experience, but it will not be accepted if it degrades the user's experience, which this new design most certainly has.

If it costs any more than the free information available here then it's not worth it.

I get lots of "yellow letter" mail to my p.o. Box.  Since it is coming in with my business mail I give it slightly more attention than the ones that come to my house.

I normally like your upgrades but this is way too much.  Hard to quickly scan through the recent posts.  It probably takes twice as long to do that.  I can find my started discussions; although they are out of order, but I can't  find discussions started by others which I've commented on.

Also I think you are overemphasizing who is the latest poster over what the subject matter is.

One other thought, I don't see who is the original author of a thread.  To be honest I find that fairly important.  For example,   @Dawn Anastasi 's recent thread about having #16 under contract caused me to click on it because it was Dawn's whereas with other users I probably would have skipped.  People get high vote totals for a reason, for example giving good advice.

There is one thing I really like SKIP TO THE LATEST POST!

Why not go and flip a couple of houses to build up your funds?  You probably already know how to find deals and rehab them at least to rental standards.  It is not that much of a stretch to flip.

You're mostly right.  Although, I'd probably spend a bit more on books.  But the point of this whole thread is to make people see what you, me and many other BPs already know.

After reading all the posts of how hardly anyone here spent tons on RE 'guru's' makes me feel a huge lump of regret in my throat, as it never once occurred to us that the program we bought was a 'Guru' type situation. We haven't actually been to the last phase of 'training' yet where there will be more upsell for POF - One on One mentoring - Field Training - and other stuff, and we have laid out 30k on CC so far, plus have to pay for our 6 day out of state trip to attend. I have no choice but to grab enough strategy, and knowledge here on BP, and the chunks of info given thus far and make it work. I'm 60 years old and just started. Never too late.

You're right it is never too late.  And it is never too late to stop buying from a guru.
