Count me in for investing in Montgomery County as well.  I live in The Woodlands, And am just starting my real estate investment journey.  Looking for single family or multi family properties to rent.  Will flip if the deal makes sense.

Are any of you guys involved with any meet up groups?  Would love to start networking with other people on the same path, and help each other out.

@Micah Haworth Welcome to BP!  Congrats on making your first offer, I hope it lands for you guys.  Exciting.  Good luck with your real estate journey.

@Turner Wright, Happy Birthday! Thanks for the encouragement. How are things going for you in Houston? Are you investing in the area or looking all over for the best deals? What strategy are you employing; Flip, rentals, BRRR, etc?

@Matthew Gullo Thank you!  I’m excited to learn and invest in my future.  I see you’re a real estate agent in Houston.  Do you primarily work in a specific part?  Houston’s pretty huge if you include all of the surrounding suburbs :-). How’s the market been for you, and where do you feel it’s heading for the next 6 months?

Haven’t lived in many places:

  • Duluth, MN
  • Apple Valley, MN
  • Corpus Christi, TX
  • San Antonio, TX
  • Houston, TX

Of those places I would prefer to stay right where I am, North Houston (suburbs).  But, if I was forced to move somewhere, I guess I would head back to Apple Valley because I still have family in that area.

Great question, I was wondering the same thing.  I just joined BP for the education, and have learned a lot already.  I was thinking I should wait for the housing market to dip further before I take any action, but it doesn’t sound like that’s necessary.  I should work on defining my strategy, analyze deals that fit that strategy, and attack when I find one that hits the numbers.

Hi Hunter. Welcome to BP.  Congrats on the graduation and engagement!  Juggling that and starting out in real estate, you’re a busy man :-). Wish I started off in my real estate venture when I was young, you’re doing the right things.  Keep moving and you’ll have a great future.

Welcome to BP James!  I’m also new to the site, and excited for the future.  I have family that lived in Boise for a while, but never had the opportunity to visit them there.  However, I did visit family in Pocatello, ID :-). Pretty state!  I’d love to have property there someday, whether it’s an investment or a vacation home.

Good luck on your journey!

Hey BP Community! My name is Brian, been interested in real estate for 20 years, but never took action.  Rich Dad Poor Dad was inspiring, I joined a Cash Flow group in the area and met up with them several times to play, but never translated that into real action.  That’s been the story of my life, and now I’m 45.  It’s time to get moving!

I'm interested in starting with SFH, with a goal to move into multi-family, all rentals. I'm open to flipping as a way to accelerate my cash, if the deal makes sense. I'm in the education phase, with a goal to purchase my first property by the end of 2020. My income goal is $20k in monthly net cash flow, and I'd like to get there by the time I'm 55. That's possible, right?! :-)

Looking forward to learning from all of you, and paying it forward as I gain experience of my own.  Hope you’re all having a productive Saturday
