  @Eric Donigan

How are you doing?

I myself haven't heard of this Josh Cantwell guy but, me and my family just went to one of these program. I would give you the name of it but it switched like every time with went to another meeting (weird). But they are all pretty much the same. Some guy or gal made millions selling real estate, now they want to make millions more by show someone else how to sale real estate.

This is the question i ask one of the mentor before my pops got ready to fork over 20 g's. So if you do go just find out where they stand.

 1. They say that they will hold our hand and show us how to look at deal and all of that stuff that would take the average person years to do.

So i asked the guy. How do that supposed to work? Do you come to Tampa and like really sit with us and hold my hand as i'm making deals?

Dude look at me like i had ten heads. Then proceeded to tell me the they have a 1-800 number that i could call and the they would get back to us in at least two days or something.

Now i'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but that doesn't sound like holding my hand or mentoring to me and it definitely ain't worth 20g's. What do you think Eric?

So i'm thinking o.k that's strike one.

But they did mention something about an event in Los Vegas that they have every month where we could come and buy turnkey properties and  another one that they have locally where they come every three months called Boots on the Ground where they are supposed to show us how to find, fund, fix and flip a few deals.

So asked the guy and since i already look on the Boots on the Ground website to see if it was like you said  worth its weight in gold, he pretty much said that it was just a walk around a neighborhood and they would show a group of like twenty people how to find deals.

Thats was strike two.

Now my scum of the earth meter is going off but i'm like ok they got to have some type of guarantee since they want you to comment that much money, so again, i asked and again this poor guy just swung for the the fence and stuck out.

 Eric, If you really want to learn about real estate just use Bigger Pockets as your mentor, yes you may have to put in some time getting connected with people so you could put your team together, learn the language and all that jazz. But in the end, it's all about the journey not the destination right?

So keep your money, buy some books, read, study, study and read,

Then get out there and

N I K E { just do it }

I really do appreciate feedback and encouragement's.

But my plan is to find a four-plex. Use my funds and credit and some else's job history. I talked to about five of my friends and family members and all of them are scared of stepping out of there comfort zone.

It does seems so...are you taking?

 Today i summoned the powers to knock on 6 doors of some leads I had. This may be a little out of place but i'm of the group of people that more times than not, place my own obstacle in my way by negative thinking and not believing in my powers to change the world around me. So for me, it was one of the biggest hurdles i have to overcome in order to become a successful real estate investor.

I had to prep  for  about an hour by listening to a few minutes of my Think and Grow Rich Audiobook and then i listened to the BP podcast on door2door techniques. Then right before i left the house i had to play a couple of Tupac tracks before i stepped out into a new world i was creating.

As i was riding, i was trying to figure out what i was going to say and visualize my steps but as i knocked on the first door no one answer. This ain't so hard, i said to myself, i'll just leave my card, then on to the next one. Not to far down the the road was my next lead. Knock, knock. No one answered. So by now my confidence is going up for some reason but just as i get ready to place the card on the door, some dude opens the door and said something that my mind did not register because i started to think about 15 negative scenario at once but somehow i came back after a few milliseconds, I commenced to stuttering and fumbling a few word, that to him must have been funny but i think i got out of my month what i was trying to convey because he told me no thanks we already sold the house, so i replied, well thanks for your time.

Usually i would beat myself up for me stuttering and fumbling words out, but as i left, i felt good about the ordeal because at least i wasn't the only one.

Im looking to get some help with finding a house hacking partnership in Tampa. Im self-employed and need a W2 partner. Please pm

Dear John,

My pops and i went to a similar program with a company called Affluence Edu. Lucky for him i did some research on the company before the workshop and seen that  they had a lot of one star reviews but the funny thing is, is that they had a lot of 5 star reviews also and no 2-3-4 reviews, crazy. But to answer your  question, i suggest you file a complaint with BBB and then call the corporate office of the company and let them know that you feel they was misleading and you want your money back and that you have filed a complaint.

When i did my research on the one we went to, it was like ten people who got some or all of there money back.

My pops paid them $1000 cash and they got him finance for up to $100,000 worth of credit card and when the cards come he is supposed to call them and give them the numbers of a few so he could pay the rest of the $24,000. That was last week. So I think they're going to be waiting on that call for some time.
