Mentor/Apprenticeship

Hi,

Do anyone know of any programs that offer genuine mentoring/apprenticeship in real estate for fix and flips? I'm a novice in real estate and I'm trying to learn the craft by the right person/s. I have passion, purpose, and persistence. I need to learn the right knowledge and get access to funds to fund my fix and flips. Can anyone please assist with some solid leads? Lately I have been given the runaround by those who want me to spend a bunch of money on their program. Although, I was listening to Josh Cantwell(40K Flip program), and he sounded pretty interesting. Has anyone else purchased this program? If so, can you please tell me if it's worth it's weight in gold?

  @Eric Donigan

How are you doing?

I myself haven't heard of this Josh Cantwell guy but, me and my family just went to one of these program. I would give you the name of it but it switched like every time with went to another meeting (weird). But they are all pretty much the same. Some guy or gal made millions selling real estate, now they want to make millions more by show someone else how to sale real estate.

This is the question i ask one of the mentor before my pops got ready to fork over 20 g's. So if you do go just find out where they stand.

 1. They say that they will hold our hand and show us how to look at deal and all of that stuff that would take the average person years to do.

So i asked the guy. How do that supposed to work? Do you come to Tampa and like really sit with us and hold my hand as i'm making deals?

Dude look at me like i had ten heads. Then proceeded to tell me the they have a 1-800 number that i could call and the they would get back to us in at least two days or something.

Now i'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but that doesn't sound like holding my hand or mentoring to me and it definitely ain't worth 20g's. What do you think Eric?

So i'm thinking o.k that's strike one.

But they did mention something about an event in Los Vegas that they have every month where we could come and buy turnkey properties and  another one that they have locally where they come every three months called Boots on the Ground where they are supposed to show us how to find, fund, fix and flip a few deals.

So asked the guy and since i already look on the Boots on the Ground website to see if it was like you said  worth its weight in gold, he pretty much said that it was just a walk around a neighborhood and they would show a group of like twenty people how to find deals.

Thats was strike two.

Now my scum of the earth meter is going off but i'm like ok they got to have some type of guarantee since they want you to comment that much money, so again, i asked and again this poor guy just swung for the the fence and stuck out.

 Eric, If you really want to learn about real estate just use Bigger Pockets as your mentor, yes you may have to put in some time getting connected with people so you could put your team together, learn the language and all that jazz. But in the end, it's all about the journey not the destination right?

So keep your money, buy some books, read, study, study and read,

Then get out there and

N I K E { just do it }
