Really good thread here. Stanley the advice given is on point. I am a newbie like yourself and I thought I wanted to come in to the business wholesaling. I figured it would allow me to build capital before moving on to other ways of investing. The more I read the more I think, not so much. The point here is that I have very good income, credit, and savings so if I change my plan and decide to start purchasing, I am in a position to do so.

You may want to get a job as well as apprentice for another investor. Get out to all you networking events and ask around. You may be able to learn the ropes while getting a small cut of the deals.

Best of luck!

Great advice, as a newbie I had the same question and I am thinking now that I should hire an attorney for the best results.

Thank you

As a receiver of the yellow card/note or whatever, it can be very weird. I actually got one or at least something similar years ago at a home I owned and sold last year. I wasn't late on payments or absentee. Honestly, when I opened it I started looking out the blinds like, is someone watching me? I was actually thinking that I might want to sell at the time because I was always away. It was eerie.

That is not to dismiss anyone's success. I'm just saying.

Terry, Baltimore is a territory that I cover and I was wondering what the market is like out here as I sit in an Inner Harbor Hotel. This is a crazy city and that coming from someone from Philly says a lot. I would love to speak with you about investing in Baltimore.

Thanks

Hello Sharon,

Thank you for posting this - every bit helps for a newbie. I bookmarked your blog and plan to read when I am off my travel and have down time. It looks very interesting. Would you please tell me if you are able to keep a full time job and wholesale, it seems very daunting.

Thanks in advance!

E.

Curt & David, surely you don't mean lay down and die because one can not compete with the big boys? I hope you mean to say be your own competition or hustle, hustle, hustle.

Anywho, good question.

Hello Ed,

I read flippingmom's blog on postcards earlier and it's worth checking out. I am a newbie and not quite there yet but I highly recommend reading the most recent post on her blog.

Good Luck!

Thank you Steve. I checked out the post and I am considering joining DIG. If I do I will reference you for sure. I've found some groups that don't require paid membership so I am checking those out first. I'll let you know when I do.
All the best

Thank you the support and guidance. Last night I was able to spend time and really search through the site, I found some terrific threads that I bookmarked. I was nervous about asking questions but I've decided to do it anyway.

Thanks again,
E.
