If you are due all profits over $420k, what is their incentive to sell for more than $420k? Theoretically it'd be easier for them to sell at the lowest possible price, $420k, and take their money, since they don't get a dime over that amount anyway.

If I'm not mistaken, the withheld rent needs to be held in an escrow account-the tenant just can't withhold it willy nilly whenever, however, and wherever they want. Continue with the eviction process

I don't understand why you need to convince them of anything. Losing that mindset would be the best thing you could ever do for yourself

Just realized you mentioned "medical" marijuana. Interesting issue, seems as though it may be similar to a service animal? Can't wait to see what people have to say

Cigarettes are legal as well, but you don't allow smoking in your property. "Marijuana smokers," or smokers in general, are not a protected class-therefore not discrimination

If I'm not mistaken, you can't discriminate based on source of income.

@Mike Nelson

You are correct. Obviously, competition up here may be vastly different from different NFL stadiums' surrounding areas since GB fans are nuts. There are literally bidding wars for some game day rentals up here, sometimes pushing the price up to that $8,000 I mentioned above. I won't go into specifics, but property values around the stadium are just as nuts - $50,000 homes for which sellers want upwards of $800,000.

Target local companies. For example, I know someone that works for a company that rents a home outside a NFL stadium on game days. The owner of the home charges somewhere between $4,000 and $8,000 each game, and can also charge for concerts and other events at the stadium. The real kicker is, when renting the home, everything is outside; bathroom trailers, food, etc. nobody really steps for inside the home, and the owner gets between $4,000 and $8,000 every event.
