Hi James,

I am new to investing as well, mainly focusing in the Independence area. I am interested in single family houses to BRRRR but I am also looking into multifamily if the deal is there. Trying to find that first deal right now. Would love to connect to hear about what you are focusing on and to see if we can help each other out.

@Adam Sankowski thank you for your reply. I have the same feelings about that area. I will rerun my numbers at a lower rent. I am looking at it as a long term investment so hopefully the area does pick up.

I have located a property for sale in the Blue Hills area of KC that I would like to BRRRR. Zip code 64130. It is a 3 bdrm 2.5 bath, 1318 Sq. ft single family house. Bigger pockets property analyzer is telling me rent for this area is averaging $1200/month. It is near Rockhurst but East of Paseo so I have some hesitation about this area and don't really believe that $1200/mnth is correct. Anyone have any rentals in this area that would be willing to confirm what you charge for rent? Also, any thoughts on how bad crime is in this area?

I feel that this area is up and coming but right now is a little bit iffy.  Thank you for any feedback.

Brad

What questions should I be asking a bank when I am talking with them about opening up a business checking account for my LLC?

@Ariel K. Thanks for the great info. The rabbit hole effect is what I was worried about.

@Mark Johnson thank you for your reply.  I have been told to get a credit card strictly for my business.  Is there one that your recommend that gets you the most bang for your buck?
