We tell them up front, no painting. If long term, might provide my color for them to use but we standardize all of our colors so there is no decision making to be done. I've lost a few candidates but there are plenty more who understand and cooperate.

Well. Yes. I did and he did. He's also in police academy so hopefully no Rambo action will ensue.

Nice house in a nice enough blue-collar area, probably B+/B... new tenants down the block reportedly drinking, partying and now... fighting and shooting.

Gonna call the councilman and find the landlord before the tenants ruin MY block (we have two props there)

Any suggestions?

Put the nice 2" faux wood ones in a house I"m selling and they're already breaking down just from people showing the house. A little surprised at the poor quality for the cost.

Dawn - about $50 for an avg $700 house - last a year or more, I'm happy. Like others, I'll take them out of the deposit if broken.

We put blinds in everything, using the inexpensive 1" minis. Looks great, doesn't cost that much, tenants like it. Win-win.

I had a similar experience to Lucas S., really had to work with the bank for them to get it right. BIG bank.

Bill Gulley, please elaborate on why "forces on Wall Street" would like to see private land ownership be history and limited.

Thanks.

Yes. This grouping was 14 properties and we actually raised coverage on a couple and left a couple out all together.

Everyone else - hints and tips on making a better choice this time?
