I'm  a Realtor/Investor in Indy, and wish I would have bought up a lot of homes in Fountain square 4 years ago.  Most houses there sell between $300,000 and $400,000.  I'm doing a flip in the next door neighborhood, Bates Hendricks (just south of Lilly on East St.).  My question to you is:  what is your objective in investing?  Is it for passive income?  Future value?  A flip?  I'm happy to talk with you if you'd like to bounce some questions off of me.  I'm at 317/213-3278.

Hi!  I bought a non performing note and am going through the collateral package.  The last recorded mortgage with a MERS number was from 2009.  Since then, there have been 3 deed in lieu's, 2 special warranty deeds and 3 quit claim deeds, as well as 4 promissory notes.  All of these are between the same seller and two companies, except the most recent item which is an assignment of interest for a contract in 2013.  I know there are workouts and selling the notes, but to the same companies?  This looks pretty fishy to me, but I'm not very seasoned in this type of investing.  I've put a call into the guy I'm getting the note from, but haven't heard back.  Any advice would be greeatly appreciated!
