@Allen Thomasand @Chris Soignier, in your courses, did you get material that you got to keep, such as PDFs or textbooks?  Or was it all purely online behind password authentication?  If you wanted to refer to your course work after obtaining your license, would you be able to?

all good points.  I'm not saying I don't want to be knowledgeable everything, however I am saying that if the $500 more expensive course only provide minimal extra education  and such forms as pretty or pictures and flashcards I can probably get that on my own  through bigger pockets for other resources.

I'm also saying that while I want to know all the legal and contractual requirements I'm not necessarily interested in the marketing and customer relation aspects. Though they couldn't hurt.

The original question still remains to be answered however. And that is are there actually differences between these courses. Do all teach the same subject matter in their own way? Or all they all pretty much the same?

@Chris SoignierI guess I'm hoping someone more knowledgeable in the Agent industry would know based on conversations and such.

Since I'm only getting my license for my own investment purchases and not to actually be a sales agent, I'm leaning towards cheap. So if I get a sub par education based on price, only I would suffer. And real-world experience always trumps education anyway.

Well, technically, everything you own is still at risk, from what I've read here. Especially if the financials on the LLC are not really reflecting its use as a real company (just paper, but no or very little transactions). However they do provide protection.

I also spoke with an accountant and she said she recommends opening one LLC, then within that LLC opening what's known as "Series LLC's" and each house would go into each series. That way the homes are protected from one another while still under an umbrella corporation .Presumably for easier money management...not really sure. Forgot to ask that one.

I'll definitely seek advice from a lawyer just before I buy a property.

I did end up contacting David Willis and Scott Horne through their websites, but then neither on replied.  I did find two other Laywers that looked decent.  One charged $300/hr and the other $350/hr for the type of general legal advice I was asking for.  One RE investor friend said that sounded about right.

I need to make sure I invest my legal advice cash well and come prepared with just the right questions. Thanks for the recommendations everyone.

I'm looking into getting my Texas Real Estate License and think I will do well with online self-pace courses. I'm wondering if there are any difference between the material presented at the various schools.  Champions? Kaplan? Midwestern Statue University? and so many others to choose from.

The cost seems to range between $500 and $1000, which all include 180 credit hours and State Exam Prep.  Why such a cost difference?  Would I be getting a better quality education with the more expensive options?  Any recommendations?

How does Refinancing work with the BRRRR strategy, or any strategy using refinancing in its strategy? If 4 homes is the max that most lenders use for initial financing are there different rules that banks use when refinancing?

Thanks for the tip Dmitriy. I'm pretty sure the "Checkbook LLC IRA" is the way to go for me. I'll private message you about your company.

Still hoping to find some Dallas, TX area attorney and accountant recommendations.

I'm an soon to be investor doing initial education and network setup. My Investment strategies are Buy and Hold using cash and financing, and investing in Tax liens with a self directed IRA. I'm hoping someone has some recommendations for accountants and/or lawyers who are knowledgeable in real estate investment.

I'm also looking for recommendations for a Self Directed IRA Custodian/Company. I'm finding that comparing their fees are difficult and reading a lot Self Directed IRA companies making it a hassle for people to close their account or move money elsewhere.

Would greatly appreciate some hearty recommendations.
