I think that checking with an agent will be a better idea, but if you're doing preliminary research, how effective are the real estate listing sites at giving you a market price for the properties you are looking into? Any answers or advice on this part of the investing process is much appreciated!

Thanks Dalton! I guess the next question would be how do you find a good agent that knows the market and knows how to give such advice? I think you would contact several agents and interview them to see who will ultimately be the guy or girl you go with.

@George Yu

Thanks! I need to find someone to learn from. Otherwise I may have access to a deal that is 100% seller financing that could be a good learning experience for me.

@George Yu thank you for your story! Would you recommend starting off with multifamily to someone who hasn't invested yet or does doing a single family investment make sense/is safer for someone just starting off?

Thank you very much! That answers my curiosity. Now I'm just curious how do you hire a good one to match your needs and how do you find one?
