Hi John Wilcox glad to have you with us here! As you mentioned your figuring out what your focus is... That's an important part, deciding what to focus on. There are so many opportunities in our area that sometimes it's difficult where to begin. Try visiting a local REIA meeting and then you can see first hand what people in your area are focusing on (not that I suggest to follow others, just for ideas). I wish you the best, and keep us posted.

Hi Mineto Anfield that sounds great, but... I'm just over an hour of so from Alexandria. If you do plan something please post it. If I am able to make it I will be there.

I never expected they would run out of the lists but that is what happened to me today when I went there this morning about 10:30am. I was told they "sold out" and to come back Monday for a newly updated list. So, I will be there Monday and try it again.

Frantzces Lys - The only Four Corners I know of is in Jacksonville (Baltimore County). It's where Paper Mill Rd, Jarrettsville Pike and Sweet Air intersect. There is a few shopping centers there. Even then it's just what people have been calling it as long as I can remember, it's not officially called that.

Ok, so they automatically add that fee in.

When you went for the list is there a specific department I'm going to be looking for? I saw a there's a Tax Sale Division located in room #1. Is that where I need to go?

What a great thread this has been! Thanks to Patrick G. and Ned Carey and the others for all of your questions and answers. They were all questions that I was thinking as well.

I am going to stop by the Municipal building tomorrow and pick up that list. See what I can find...

Now here is my question. How or what makes a property qualify for the Certificate of Substancial Reapir? and is their a cost for the certificate. The reason I'm asking is that my goal would be the property and the idea of beginning the foreclosure process in 60 days is amazing!

Thanks,

-Ray
