I am considering buying a lot in the Hill Country (west of Austin like Spicewood or Dripping Springs) and putting a metal building atop of it as a commercial property.

Anyone have any experience doing this? Good, bad or indifferent? What did the build costs and timeline look like? Any recommended metal building builders?

Question for those of you out there who have solar panels --- presumably, if you financed your solar panels, the solar company put a lien on your home too -- soooo what happens if you were to quit paying the solar mortgage?

Can the solar company force a disposition of your home (or rental)? Can they prevent the solar panels from functioning?

Here's a question for you -- anyone out there start a financing company for home-improvement projects?

For example, a company that would offer siding contractors the ability to finance siding projects with a lien on the house as security for the loan.

Any and all suggestions for reading and research would be appreciated.

Hi there -- I am looking at a few projects ranging from small commercial to multifamily -- wondering who to speak to in the Austin, Texas area about non-recourse financing for such projects.

Hi there --- anyone in Austin, TX have recommendations for accounting services that have a deep understanding in real estate?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks @Aaron K. -- appreciate the clarification.

What size properties should I start with?

This is probably a rookie question -- but is it legally possible to create negative cashflow on paper just with mortgage interest rate deduction and depreciation?

For example, my NOI is $90k, my mortgage interest is $48k and my depreciation is $52k --- could I show a loss of $10k annually?
