Post: High DTI...difficulty finding a lender

Hey everyone! I've found my first rental property that I would like to put an offer on, however, I have an DTI of 46%. I have plenty of cash for a 25% down payment, but I'm having a hard time getting past my high DTI. Unfortunately, it's mostly due to my primary home and not being able to put my fiancé's income to factor it in (she does not want to go on my "adventure" of but and hold real estate).

Does anyone have any advice with my predicament? Thanks!

@Robert Shortsleeves I’d bet very interested! If you could send me some pictures and specs I’d love to see them.

@Dan DiFilippo I have been working with a real estate agent through Realtor.com, but I haven’t signed any paperwork yet. Let’s connect and talk in more detail.

@Dan DiFilippo @Gennaro Coscia thanks for the advice! I have a property I am looking at that is on the north end of town, a few miles away from fort Bragg. It’s seems to get better the more you distance yourself from downtown, right?

Fayetteville dwellers/investors!  I’m currently looking in the area for multifamily houses below 130k.  I have one lined up, located in North Point village, which is just southeast of Fort Bragg.  Does anyone know the neighborhood and if the crimes rates are decent?
