@Brent Beard I'm not sure that I follow. You will have to pay off your CC statement at the end of the month anyway, otherwise you risk paying a high APR, which will negate any of your growth in the market.

Only real benefit that I see is to get the CC points.

You don’t mind paying high interest or the convenience fees that contractors will most likely charge for using a CC?

I was assuming that the reason why you wanted to use credit cards was that you didn’t have enough liquid cash to use for repairs.  I retract my original reply, as most of the contractors I use accept Venmo, PayPal, or CashApp.

I've only had one contractor that accepted credit cards as a payment, but I wasn't willing to pay the convenience fee.  From my experience, which is somewhat limited, most contractors only accept cash and possibly a check.

@Stephanie P. And by additional point, I’m referring to the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac overlay announced in October.

@Stephanie P. I have. They said that the additional point has factored into the higher rate.

Looking to refinance my primary home. I have been looking around, but can only get a 3% rate. I have excellent credit, but for some reason, I can’t find the right lender. Can anyone suggest a lender with better rates?

@Kevin Sierra probably doing a cash out refi. Not thrilled with the variable interest rate that HELOCs hold.

Can anyone offer any assistance with a high DTI question? I would like to take a HELOC out on my rental property, but I've only owned it for six months and my DTI is around 50%.

I have excellent credit, but I have to put my entire mortgage against my DTI since my fiancé is unwilling to put her name on any future rental properties.

Any help would be much appreciated!
