But there are literally thousands of real life examples, and plenty of testing as well that proves that is in fact healthy. Not to mention its the only "product" available for consumption which has never been attributed to a single death. Unlike ordinary salt, and every single FDA approved pill.  However it still finds itself illegal in many states, regardless of how many times the majority of the public has demanded it in those areas. At this point, all we can do is support companies that are willing to fight the court battles.

Many things could be said about Airbnb except...they are unwilling to fight the legal battles necessary to cause change.

I don't see how you think he lied about the square footage. When you say yourself that he "told you it was just under 900 square feet". and in fact it is just ~80 square feet under the 900. (assuming all measurements are equal) he still said plainly, this place is smaller than 900 feet, and he is accurate. Its not like the measurements are coming up at 400 square feet, obviously that would not be "just under" ~10% difference certainly is.

Are you sure about this?

Let's put it this way: If I own property, who is the State to tell me what I can and cannot do in it/ with it, provided the activity isn't illegal or harming anybody else? (Obviously by illegal, I do not mean "You can't use it as a short-term rental" but more like "you can't cook meth".)  I'll bet that is what Anthony Kelley was alluding to.

exactly what I was thinking. Its not a matter of the way it is, but the way it should be.

But it should! and with support of such things as airbnb or any "open source" platform like uber, or turo or pirate bay, it can be! (ok maybe not make law, but certainly avoid it, or remove its red tape affect) What we need is less Government control at all levels of our life. Certainly not More to "protect us from ourselves".

Anything that causes or facilitates de-regulation is a good thing.

and in my opinion, generally using a cash advance on a credit card to pay for a home, is not the best way, or cheapest way, of getting financing.

if you can get a credit card, you can likely get a better loan. There are times you have to resort to cards, but generally not at first?

As a parent of 3 who are just now graduating high school, ill say It really wont matter what you do for a living, if you include your children and make it fun for them. They will not only accept it, but learn a thing or two along the way. We have a tendency to put things in boxes. School, Church, Work, Hobby, etc.

Never forget your children want to experience it all..with you

instead of focusing on the hours it takes, look at all the ways you can bring your kids into the "family business" just my 2 cents :) good luck with whatever you do

I would want to check with the city before putting money into it, or even letting the tenant put to much in that might cost to remove. The reason I would check, is in some areas its actually illegal to grow food in your yard, or to collect rain water even.

Hello, not sure if this is the right section but I could not find a PM section so best fit?

I am a newbie investor in Colorado. I am a disabled vet (USAF), am married and our kids are minutes away from leaving the nest, I have been a stay at home dad. My wife works as a General Manager for a top food franchise, earning about 50-60k a year with some potential for bonus and promotion. I have just graduated and passed the licencing requirements to become a real estate agent, having purchased a few property's before and never being satisfied with my agents, I decided nobody will be a better agent for me, than me. At the very least this agent path will make connections useful to my goal of eventually owning a lot of rentals. Some commission checks wouldn't hurt this process either.

My wife is considering entering into property management, thinking if she could get a job working for a PM company perhaps she could via on the job training better learn how to manage our property's, or at the very least have a working relationship with the company we use for our property.

She is a hard charger worker, that can start anywhere in any business and learn to excel at it, that is not an issue. However on first glance at craigslist help wanted ads for PM company's, I see they all want experience in PM. (would her experience managing people and merchandise translate to a interview shot?) What wages might she expect? both at the start, and 2-3 tiers up the ladder?

Thanks very much this is my first real questioning post on BP so flame kindly please

TLDR:  My wife is considering entering into property management. How much do they earn and how hard is it to enter into the field with no experience :)
