Hi!  Just bought my Multi in 2018 and now just got my adjusted tax bill.  It went from $$$$ to $$,$$$.  Almost 2.5 folds.  I guess assessor went on purchased price of the property.  Anyone tried fighting this?  I was told by some not much they could do.  Thank god I pushed rents and forced some appreciation but there went all my profits.  Ouch!!!

@Thomas Hayworth.  Thanks for the suggestion.  I had my accountant in mind as i try to make it as easy for them as possible and easy for me too.  At $600 per hour (my CPA), the more i do the more they can be more effective in what they can do for me.

Anyone out there can shine a light on obtaining a equity line of credit on properties that are in LLC? Most banks tend to not do this that i have contacted. Agents suggest that i put the property back into my name before applying. Is this how some of you are getting HELOCs from your investment properties? Or are you able to find lenders that would loan to LLCs but i am just not looking at the right lenders.

@Kevin Smith and @Bree Wijnaar.  Sorry it has been a few months since this thread.  I have been putting off buying in Tulum as I am heavy with an investment in Atlanta (Air Bnb).  However, on that note, just wondering how are your investments going? @Kevin Smith, did you start renting out your investment, if so doing well? Like your property manager? @Bree Wijnaar, buy anything yet?

My mom is planning on retirement and she wish to sell one of her properties to her long term tenants.  Anyone out there that has done this and if so where did you go to draft papers and to seek terms and advice? Is there a third party agency that specialize in something like this? The property is in Nebraska.  Thanks!
