I would think an actual lead would leave a message.  It's most likely someone who realized they dialed the wrong number.

I am a complete newbie who just finished "The Book On Rental Property Investing", and I've set a goal for myself to read 5 more RE books this quarter to further my education. Which 5 books should I read?

Are there active REIAs in the Central Valley? I found several in Sacramento and the Bay Area, but I'd like something a little closer if possible.

If I were to buy an out of state property that needed some work done, how could I go about it without being physically present at the property? Or is that not recommended?

I understand that I need to have separate checking/savings accounts for my REI activities for a variety of reasons. If I'm not going to be using an LLC to start, does that account need to be a true "business" account, or can it simply be a second personal account?

My name is Alex, and I'm brand new to the world of real estate investing. I'm right now sitting on the balcony of an ocean-facing condo in Kuaui with my bride (it's our honeymoon), and I've realized that my normal 9-5 job is not going to get me where I want to be - namely, sitting in an ocean-facing condo full time when I retire the day before my 60th birthday.

Compared to a lot of other folks I've read about on here, I'm getting a late start (I just turned 46 a week ago), but I believe it's still possible to have a very nice retirement thanks to RE.

I look forward to meeting and learning from all of you.
