@Thomas S. No I didn't think they would do is specifically for me. I had actually already spoke to someone of authority who has information on this topic. However I figured I'd ask to see if anyone knew a loophole around it and out of curiosity.

Some of these rules and regulations are new which means there may be some gray area.  yes I agree, I was looking at many other rentals at the same time.

@Michael Kugler no not at all, actually I said no I will not be moving forward to the landlord the same day I found out. I did not pause and focus on this exclusively  on this specific property. I was simultaneously looking at others.

I didn't waste too much time.

Yes I check zoning and such first. To save time, and avoid signing a lease and potentially losing money after giving security deposit and what not.

Hey guys had a question! I I am in the process of picking up my first rental listing to relist on airbnb. I am in the Midway area of Chicago. And there is a lot of restricted residential zoning near airport. I had an apartment ready to go with the landlord on board. However it landed in a residential restricted area. So far I have done some research, have contacted a guy in that is knowledgeable in the department of business in Chicago and said i couldnt do home sharing in that area.

Anyone have suggestions? Can I possibly submit petition with landlord's consent even in a restricted area?

I bought the course as well. I was skeptical like most. However if you learn one thing that can save you 3-6 months would you? If you buy the course just make sure you follow through to make the money back. I like the fact that brian speaks to both people who only want one listing a year and multiple. I thought it was worth it. In the process of getting my first listing.

Hello everyone, setting up a meet in this area to gather individuals interested/involved in real estate. (Midway) area of Chicago IL, Oak lawn, West lawn, Burbank, Bedford park, Clearing, Garfield ridge and surrounding area. Really, anyone is open to come.

I have been to a couple groups and have not seen one in this particular area. This is strictly to meet, network and help each other out, and to see whats going on in the area. Come have some coffee!

The reason I set it short is because Its the weekend and it seems harder for people to carve out that time to network and generally do so during weekdays. However show up if you can! Quick meet, greet and share connections/knowledge.

Please RVSP if you can!

@Kevin Fearing one option is to drive for dollars. Make a list of 50 preferably 100 vacant properties. Then you skip trace them, try to get ahold of owner directly. Services like white pages, spokeo to find them.  Pm for more info and ill go into more detail. Takes some time. But less money you have, more time you have to put which then builds knowledge. More money you have, probably less time which means you can do some passive marketing. For now start with active marketing. Door knocking, cold calling, driving for dollars. ect
