A lot of you guy say adding a charge to their account. It’s not like you can collect from them after. The security deposit probably won’t even enough to cover for the eviction cost.

It’s only September. You have plenty of time to find another place, probably at higher price. The host made a price mistake & don’t want to honor it, that is all. VRBO or Airbnb are like market place. Both guest & host can cancel reservations. A transaction only happen when both agree to it.

 It's not. You know photoshop, and so do sellers. They can always call the banks ... to verify. If you don't have the fund to do it, just don't do it.

And by the way, you might lose your earnest deposit too, if you can't come through with the transaction.

@Jay Hinrichs,

Why do people pay $50 for that? Can’t they just photoshop and make up one?

@Mason Barnard, don’t trust what they put in the listing. It’s there for marketing purpose. Maybe they have really good cash flow on paper, but you can’t collect rent on some units.

I wouldn’t fight the city ... they wrote the code, and they have lot of free tax payers money to fight. A better course would be talking directly with the code inspector & see if you can get some reasonable agreement. Maybe he’ll let you off one more time if you promise to not letting another person live in there (show them a lease that stated so & show them the tenants broke the lease ....)

San Jose is pretty relax with enforcing codes. They won’t do anything unless someone complained. Looked like someone know about that non-permitted addiction & has complained twice.

Is it just me, or it’s pretty reckless to buy 2 at the same time, on the first auction & out of state, and in Baltimore (bad, high crime area, i think).

@Justin Reyes

Don’t withdraw. Tax & penalty will eat a big part of it. Borrow from your own 401K instead. Buying a house is a valid reason to borrow.

@Peter York

He strongly suggest it because it’s the one that pay the most commission to him. Of course, the commission is indirectly coming from you.
